About Me
Hi! My name is Adrian Delgado, and I’m from Perris, California. For as long as I can remember, I've been captivated by the idea of exploring new cultures and distant lands. However, life’s responsibilities often put these dreams on hold. Since the age of 16, I have balanced working full-time, attending school full-time, and raising my four nieces. Now, as they grow older and more independent, I finally have the opportunity to pursue my long-held dream of travel and self-discovery.
Personal Story
When I was 13, my life was forever changed when my father passed away. Losing him was a profound loss that left a void in my heart and my family. Just a few years later, at 16, my life took another unexpected turn. I became the primary caretaker and father figure to my four nieces, who were aged 7 years to just 6 months old. Overnight, my teenage years turned into a whirlwind of responsibilities. I juggled school, work, and family duties, putting my own aspirations on the back burner to ensure my nieces had the love and support they needed.
Despite these challenges, I remained steadfast in my educational pursuits, earning an associate's degree in art soon after high school. Today, I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business management, maintaining a 3.87 GPA, and am a proud member of the Delta Mu Delta honor society.
In addition to these responsibilities, I have faced significant health challenges. Over the years, I have undergone three knee surgeries, which have tested my resilience and determination. Through it all, I have learned the importance of perseverance and the value of pursuing one's dreams despite the obstacles.
Throughout my life, I’ve been the person who helps others, rarely asking for help myself. This journey marks a pivotal moment where I recognize the importance of seeking support to achieve my dreams. It’s time for me to step out, explore the world, and grow both as an individual and a father figure.
Travel Goals
With my nieces becoming more independent, I now have a unique chance to focus on personal growth and cultural exploration. My dream is to travel through South and Central America and Southeast Asia, immersing myself in the rich cultures, histories, and landscapes of countries like Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. These destinations promise unforgettable experiences that will help me grow as a man and a father.
Planned Activities
In South and Central America, I aim to blend adventure with cultural immersion:
- Amazon Rainforest: Live among the natural wonders, gaining insights into local ecosystems and indigenous cultures.
- Costa Rica: Experience the thrill of white-water rafting and explore the breathtaking biodiversity.

- Guatemala: Hike through stunning landscapes and engage with the vibrant local culture.
- Colombia: Learn how to salsa dance and deepen my Spanish language skills.
In Southeast Asia, I look forward to:
