My Travel Story

I am visiting Ghana as part of a student volunteer group. We will be based in the Volta region at a village called Woe. We will be teaching, coaching sports and helping with building/rennovation work at 2 schools in the village, Giving local children the school environment that they deserve.

This trip will largely benefit the local community and myself. I will gain a variety of skills during the experience like; teaching, team building and communication skills. I struggle a lot with socialising with other people and i feel as though this experience will help me grow as a person and improve my social skills. 

The work that we will be doing during our stay will improve the quality of the school, giving chilldren access to facilities that we often take for granted. I am hoping to give back to others who are less fortunate then myself. 

I will be greatly appreciative and thankful for anyone who is able to donate to help me in this once in a life time experience to give back to the community in Woe.
