For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to St Catherine's Hospice, Crawley. I've chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal. We're a local charity with big ambition: to be there so that no one has to face death and loss alone.

As hospice isn't just a building. It's a way of caring. Our doctors, nurses, therapists and volunteers work together to provide tailored care to patients and their family and friends on our 18 bed ward, in our Day Hospice and out in the community across Sussex and Surrey. Our Patient and Family Support Team also offer emotional support through counselling, spiritual care and welfare advice.

Last year, we could care for around 2,100 people in our community as they faced death and loss.

But currently, only 1 in 3 people can benefit from our support, meaning two thirds are left alone.

By supporting St Catherine's Hospice, you can ensure that in the future, no one has to face death and loss alone.
