My Travel Story

I have been in love with Australia and it's beautiful wildlife for many years.  I have always dreamed of moving there and participating in rescuing injured or abandoned wildlife.  I firmly believe the answers come to us when we are ready to receive them.  I randomly Googleled "where can I bottle feed a baby wombat in Australia?".  A link for Volunteer World came up.  Volunteer World is the go between for charities that need volunteers and the people who want to volunteer.  I did my research and found they have several opportunities in Australia.  I found a lovely Bushland Sanctuary.  I applied and I will be volunteering at The Emerald Acres Animal Rescue for four weeks September 2026.  I will be feeding and cleaning enclosures and loving many types of animals. This is an opportunity to not only live my dream for four weeks, but it could also be a foot in the door for a permanent position as an animal carer.  I am giving my time and would greatly appreciate your financial support to cover my food and boarding and travel expenses.  I'm so excited to go love those animals in Australia!
