My Travel Story

I’m dreaming about traveling to expand my hiking adventures! Hiking, for me, is a time to be in relationship with my self, the land, and my thoughts.

I want to take a big trip to celebrate my 50th year, and I'm still torn about what I want to do. I’m interested in hiking across one of my ancestral homelands: Ireland. There are three "Ways" -- established trails that connect significant religious and historical sites --  that are well-supported. This means I could travel on trails in between towns and only carry a day pack, while the rest of my princess gear gets delivered. I could either hike with a group or on my own. 

I also am excited about exploring deeper into Colorado’s amazing Rocky Mountains. There are backpacking hikes -- like the Sneffels Traverse or the Colorado Trail -- that are exciting and appealing to me. These mountains feel like home every time I step into them (because they are -- I grew up among the peaks and trails of the Rockies), and I have come to deeply love the sub alpine ecosystem and all its beautiful wildflowers, rushing rivers full of snow melt, and abundant wildlife.

These spaces are full of sacred wonder, deep joy, and great possibility. Either one would make an amazing celebration of 50 years on this planet.
