My Travel Story

I went to Belize in March of 2018.  I learned so much while there and fell in love with the people in the community.  I want to be able to work in this community again and be a part of this program.  While we are there we help in classrooms and we also host an after school program where kids from the Unity School can improve their literacy skills while being able to do arts and crafts and team sports and this year they will be learning how to bucket farm!  I am passionate about this because I see the impact this program is making not only with the community that we do it in, but also with the students that travel here to participate.  I loved it so much that it is my goal to be able to go back and do it again.  I also love being able to do this with my mom.  Watching her with the children here, makes me want to teach children in the future.
