Help Fund my Cultural Exploration of Italy!
My Travel Story
Growing up on the east coast and going to university in Arizona was my first experience that challenged my perspective through a change in the surrounding culture. Although much smaller than the difference between America and Italy, the difference between east and west coast culture was surprising and took me outside of my comfort zone. While at first, I felt uneasy, I found later on that I was learning so many valuable things about who I am and life itself. I gained a greater sense of tolerance, patience, and compassion. Since this first leap of faith, I have wanted to challenge my perspective again, because I found so much fulfillment in my personal growth. Traveling to Italy to study abroad will allow me to continue to grow into a more well-rounded individual while helping others and continuing my education.

About The Program
The CIEE program I am attending through Arizona State University offers a chance for students to continue their college education while exploring the culture of Italy. During the program, I will complete 12 credit hours to put toward my degree in Business (Sustainability) and minor in Design Studies. Aside from homework and studying, the program offers various volunteering and service-learning programs I am able to participate in. Some of these opportunities include volunteering at retirement homes, art organizations, youth centers, and homeless shelters. ?>
