My Travel Story

In June 2025 I will be travelling to the island of Nosy Komba just off Madagascar to volunteer in the IVHQ's turtle conservation project. In 2023 I was selected to partake in a volunteer programme to India but this didn't work out due to ongoing government conflicts. Although this was devestating, I have always kept the idea of partaking in another project in mind. After hearing from a friend about the IVHQ and researching what projects would be suitable for me, I landed on this one.

In Madagascar we will be conducting sea grass surveys, establishing areas of turtle activity and monitering populations, re-establishin nesting beaches, and doing beach clean ups. This project focuses on protecting and re-establishing Madagascar's beautiful marine life as well as helping to conserve their beaches and waters.

I am beyond excited for the oppertunity to participate in this project and for the growth it will help me have as a person. All the funds raised from this page will go directly to the cost to partake on the project, flights and vaccinnes pre trip. Any little amount helps :)
