My name is Miranda Garcia-Lopez, and I’m a journalism major The University of Texas--Austin. Growing up with immigrant parents, I’ve lived in multiple countries and been shaped by diverse cultures, from my birthplace in Chicago to my childhood in Brazil and now Texas. My global experiences have instilled in me a deep appreciation for different perspectives, which has made me passionate about telling stories that foster understanding. Studying abroad in Australia will be the next step in my journey, allowing me to gain new insights and professional skills while continuing to explore the world.
