My Travel Story

I have always enjoyed helping others; it's a part of who I am. So, on December 2,2015 I decided to take a leap and apply to International Volunteer HQ. Within a day I received an email that I had been accepted to volunteer! How exciting! Where am I going, you ask?! I will be traveling to China on June 20, 2016! I will be working with children who have special needs as well as working in an orphanage. I am beyond thrilled. I have worked in the field of special education for close to 7 years! It is going to be life changing to be able to give back to those in another country. Working in the orphanage is close to my heart because my niece and godson are both adopted from Korea. Although it is a different country, it has its similarities. Well, I am super excited and thrilled to be doing this! Please help fund my volunteer experience!
