This trip is incredibly meaningful to me because my daughter has recently developed depression and social anxiety, which has worsened since I was unable to attend her 18th birthday and K12 graduation. She needs my support more than ever, and being physically present for her is vital to her healing and our family’s well-being.

For me, this trip is not just about reuniting with my children, but it’s also about being the mother they need right now. It will give us time to heal, reconnect, and strengthen our bond after so many years apart. Unfortunately, my current employers have refused my request for a vacation, making it difficult for me to afford the journey on my own.
