I, Melody McKnight have decided to take the opportunity to study abroad that Indiana University offers. I have been chosen to do a three week program in May of 2024 in Greece to study food cultures and cuisines. Exploring the rich food culture allows for a broader understanding of hospitality and event catering, relevant to sports management. It offers a unique intersection where sports and culinary experiences contribute to a holistic perspective on managing sports events successfully.
I am looking forward to being immersed into the culture and learning how they go about life daily and possibly sharing stories and exchanging knowledge about how I was raised and the cultural differences. I want to create a connection with the community to truly learn and understand the background and the history of the country as a whole.
