My Travel Story

As some may know, it has been a dream of mine for many years to volunteer abroad! I have been accepted into a few different programs but I am still deciding which organization I want to use. I have decided to go this June as it may be my last opportunity to go before I start nursing school.

I will be working in a children’s orphanage to help take care of the children as well as help them learn English! I can’t wait to learn about the different cultures and build relationships with other volunteers and with the children!

I am hoping to raise $5,000! A trip to Africa can be very expensive so I am asking for all the help I can get to cover the expenses!
Here is a break down of what the money will go towards:
-Flight (round trip)
-Vaccinations
-Travel insurance
-Volunteer permit
-Accommodations with a host family
-Transportation to and from airport with security
-Transportation to orphanage from host house
- 3 meals per day
-Any other travel expenses
