Las Islas Canarias me encantan.

I'm going to be heading to the Canary Islands to celebrate my 30th birthday this summer!

I have put together this fundmytravel website for anyone who might like to participate in getting me to these enchanting islands for a trip of a lifetime! 



Fun Facts about the Canary Islands:

1) The Islands are not named after the bird; but rather the latin word for dogs (canaria).

2) Despite the Pyrenees Mountain Range on the main land, the Canary Island of Tenerife has the highest elevation in all of Spain.

3) Fast&Furious 6 was filmed in the Canary Islands.

4) It is home to a native "whistling language" meant to transmit news between villages in the mountains.

5) Javier Bardem was born and raised on the Canary Islands.
