My Travel Story

Attending the ACE trip would give me an incredible opportunity to work one-on-one with expert veterinarians and learn how to care for large animals firsthand. It would provide valuable hands-on experience and allow me to immerse myself in a new culture, environment, and community. This journey will teach me independence, what it means to bond with the field, and how to properly care for exotic animals, the very path I am passionate about pursuing.

By learning to treat bigger animals, I will be better prepared to care for domestic pets back home. I want to support my community by helping keep their beloved animals safe and healthy.

This project excites me deeply because it combines two things I love most: the chance to travel somewhere new and the opportunity to help creatures who truly need it. It is a love I find hard to put into words.

I chose Africa because of my love for elephants, but also because of the incredible diversity of animals there: giraffes, zebras, lions, and because of the rich culture and connection to nature that feels so open and real, something I rarely experience in the city.

For me, this journey is more than just an experience; it is the fulfillment of a dream. Nursing exotic animals and traveling to Africa feels almost surreal, and it means everything because this is what I am truly passionate about. I cannot imagine doing anything else. When I return, I know I will have grown into a new version of myself, with a deeper understanding of life and a stronger sense of purpose.
