4000 Tutorial /Lessons in 4 Countries before I turn 40
My Travel Story
My name is Jasper and I am in my late 30s. My entire life I have been fascinated with making Children happy, and have recently become more interested in teaching kids after obtaining my TEFL/TESOL Teaching Certificate from the UK. am planning to go to Colombia to complete an intensive, 2-week certification in Spanish language. Afterwards, I will be volunteering work in a nearby community, schools or language center, tourism board, or Churches to teach English to Colombia kids, then Cross the Darien Gap to Panama, to Mexico, then Canada. The ability to speak conversational English is a very valuable skill in heavily touristic areas like the South American Regions, and I am excited to be able to share this gift with the community that I find a volunteer Job in.
I am extremely passionate about teaching, and working with Kids has always brought me so much joy and fulfillment. I chose this specific destination because of the rich history, culture, Landscape and natural resources in The South /North America Being an African descent and a Nature lover myself, I have always wanted to travel to the USA as well, but had to skip it due to COVID-19 Pandemic and some factors beyond my control, all things being equal I’d be travelling to Colombia and with this opportunity I will be able to fully immerse myself in the culture. This trip will combine the three things in life which I am most passionate about: Culture, teaching, and travel. Thank you so much for reading a little bit about my trip and I would be incredibly grateful if you choose to donate to my trip!
I am beyond excited to let you know that I'll be taking this trip between now and 2021 ending.
This was a means to temporally stay away from kidnapping, killing and massacre of Christians currently going on in my country; my community to be precise, Such that, from farm to church, to the police station, no place is safe! My joy is to add more value to the lives of children in the South/North American since I can’t do so now in my country as a result of the killings by the Islamic extremist, sad enough our family house was burnt down and my older brothers shot dead while my mom died due to injuries, but that doesn’t stop me from adding values to people’s lives, especially helping in a way that can make me forget the past, and I am so grateful for this opportunity!
The Break down- Includes transportation and Spanish learning fee, this incredible learning experience is unfortunately not cheap. my flight, I need you to know that, many South American kids depends upon volunteers to help them learn and Speak English because not many people can afford to hire English teachers.
One of the ways I am going to make this trip a reality is through fundraising. Please check out what I'll be doing as attached in videos, why it's important to me, and how you can help! fund my travel to Colombia so I won't get killed here!
I personally have already started saving for this trip, but I would of course appreciate any donation - big or small. Every Dollars counts! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my trip. If you are not in the position to donate towards this cause, even just sharing the link is a great help.
Thank you for your generosity and support - it means the world!!
Warmest,
Jasper
