I am a fifty-seven year old artist trying to explore places that inspire my painting. Recently, I was accepted into my first artist residency program that takes place in the southwestern region of Ireland. One of my most favorite locations that I have ever visited. Having explored and translated into imagery my surrounding locations here in upstate New York in the Hudson Valley region, I am looking forward to doing the same in Ireland. The location is close to where my ancestors are from, so to have this opportunity would mean a lot to me and my family.
