Ellie's South African Volunteer Teaching Fund
My Travel Story
I believe that every child deserves a quality education, regardless of their background or circumstances. I am currently a Primary Education Student at Plymouth Marjon University and I need your help to support my four week volunteering teaching programme in South Africa, from July 2023.
The IVHQ programme is designed to provide essential educational support to schools in underprivileged areas, where resources are limited and the need for skilled teachers is high. By donating to my fundraiser, you can help provide resources, materials and equipment that are essential for delivering quality education to children as well as help fund travel and programme costs.
I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners and helping them achieve their full potential. This experience will have a significant impact on my future career by having the opportunity to develop teaching skills, gaining experience in cultural exchange, intercultural communication and community development. As a volunteer teacher, I will have the chance to work alongside local educators and have an opportunity to adapt to different learning environments, especially with the most deprived children.
Together, we can create a brighter future for young learners in South Africa and beyond. By supporting this fundraiser, you will be helping build a brighter future for children less fortunate than ourselves, empowering them with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in life.
