My Travel Story

Hi my name is Tavian Gonzalez. I am a senior Media Production student at the University Of Houston in Houston, Texas. I have always had a love for film, editing, and media. However, I have also always loved to travel and explore new places even from a very young age. One of my dreams is to travel around the world. However, I recently had the amazing opportunity to be selected to be apart of a study abroad program in Malaga, Spain in January 2023.
I will be studying Spanish as the last few credits needed in my degree plan. However, I believe that this opportunity will be a life changing experience outside of just studying Spanish. Being able to be immersed in the culture and history in one of the best cities to learn Spanish in Spain will be an enriching experience. I believe this opportunity will support my personal growth and being able to learn one of the most widely spoken languages would be a valuable asset in my career, education, and lifestyle.
I have already been working toward saving and trying to get aid with my university. However, there is still quite a ways to go. Altogether, this cost will assist with my program fees, tuition and travel expenses. I would like to reach out to anyone willing to assist in pouring into my dream of studying abroad in Spain.
