Antartica! A dream for an African American Woman.
My Travel Story
This opportunity will impact my career greatly with an experience of a lifetime. Not many people can say they have been to Antarctica, let alone many African Americans.
This experience will help me gain the experience I need to further my knowledge in research and nanostructured materials. My goal is to become a nanoscientist to help with global climate change by creating nanomaterials to help fight glacier melting and other natural phenomenons affected by global climate change.
This experience to help further me into a world not so cultivated by many like me. I want to be able to make a change in my field for many reasons. To show others that they can do anything they put their mind too and that there are no limitations. I am 26 years old and suffer from untreated ADHD. In my academic career, I feel painful for the motivation and goals to change this world.
