Help rekindle my son's happiness
My Travel Story
I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea to help improve my son's mental health and bring joy back into his life. It pains me to see him struggling in an environment that lacks the attention, care, and protection he truly needs, primarily due to economic constraints and external factors. My son will graduate from high school this November and my dream is to give him a trip for his graduation.
He currently lives in isolation, confined to his room, and battles depression. I am determined to change his life, to give him a reason to smile and find motivation despite his circumstances. He is a bright and intelligent young man with inmense potential, but his mental health has suffered greatly due to his unsuitable living conditions. I want to provide him with an opportunity to experience the beauty of life once again.
Supporting this dream is CRUCIAL because mental health is one of the pressing issues of our time. I live with the constant fear that my son may experience severe depressive episodes, and I won't be there to comfort him. He is my only child, my mother's only grandchild, and my sister's only nephew. While I work tirelessly to save money, it still falls short of covering a trip that could uplift his spirits and nurture his positive thoughts.
If we reach our fundraising goal, this trip will be a surprise for him, taking us to a tranquil beach destination. I am deeply concerned about his mental well-being and believe that a change of scenery, away from the adversity he faces, will breathe new life into him. His self-esteem, emotions, and psychological well-being are suffering from prolonged isolation and neglect. He already has a place at the university to study computer engineering. However, without good mental health and a positive outlook, achieving this challenging goal becomes increasingly difficult.
My sole dream at this moment is to see my son happy once more. I don't need first class travel or a luxury hotel to stay. Just enough to be able to pay for the entire trip in a modest way and feel safe in the destination to which we can apply.
I humbly request your assistance in making this dream a reality. Seeing my son's eyes light up with joy would be the greatest happiness I could ever ask for.
