My Travel Story

Hola! me llamo Nuria, which is an unusual name for a Mexican born and raised girl who inmigrated to the United States in 2007 but I hear is a popular name in Spain! maybe it's a sign ;)
My brother and I both came here to be reunited with our mother and we’ve been here ever since. I’m currently working on my bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language & Literature and International Relations. I now have the opportunity to explore life beyond what I already know with the study abroad program to Malaga, Spain.

I have always been passionate about learning about other cultures and helping others. I have volunteer in various organization in which I have met wonderful people from different parts of the world, and it makes me realize how little I know. I’m confident that this experience will help me develop my people skills even further.

I know the expenses for this trip will be high and that’s why I have been applying to as many scholarships as possible to help me with the program’s expenses. Your contributions will help me pay for other expenses such as my airfare and local travel expenses.
