Send the Moon to China!
My Travel Story
Hi, I'm Mia, or Moon to my friends. I am 14, living in London UK, and I study Mandarin in high school. I received an A* in my mock Mandarin GCSE recently.
In July 2017 I have the opportunity to go on a cultural exchange trip to China. Yep, that's right...CHINA. What an awesome opportunity! But it's not a jolly holiday; it's a trip to learn more about Chinese customs and language, meeting real people, and students from a Beijing high school. We'll have classes each day and an exam at the end... hard work but life changing. But I can't do this without your help though. Please donate!

Why choose me?
I am always doing things to raise money for charity and to inspire other young people. My photos show me winning the Jack Petchey award for inspirational young people, a newspaper clip of me where I raised over £2500 for charity, and me with my siblings when we raised £5000 for international famine relief (that's us with Olympic gold medallist Duncan Goodhew).
I have also helped raise over £2000 for young homeless kids in London by helping to organise a huge disco at my school each year. In 2016 I won an award at a tech Hackathon for inventing a new app, and another award for inventing a science and engineering 'renewable energy' project.
I also volunteer at a 'special needs' school for children with profound handicaps, and at Christmas helped a charity with their food bank and gift collection for disadvantaged families in London.
In education, I'm working hard. I have big dreams and even bigger ambitions and hope to study Mandarin or Engineering at University when I'm older. I am one of the few STEM Ambassadors in my school (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths).
I have attended several young entrepreneur workshops, and in 2016 I won an award at a Hackathon for inventing a new app, and another award for inventing a science and engineering 'sustainable energy' project.
Oh, and I'm learning piano when I get time and have passed my Grade 1 already.
Please help my fundraising, and I'll thank you with Tweets, photos, video updates, Facebook mentions, or Google+ likes. How about a photo of me at a landmark in China (Great Wall?), wearing a t-shirt with your company logo, and putting it on social media. Maybe I can talk at your staff conference or event about how your money helped me?
The amount needed is just a fraction of the cost....I'm working hard myself to help with the costs, doing babysitting, tutoring, chores... I am determined to fund this trip.
Please donate today and make a difference to inspiring young people across the world. THANK YOU!
