I will be traveling to Southeast Asia this summer to help local farmers with organic farming projects, build a wildlife sanctuary for animals rescued from illegal wildlife trade, and teach English to children, teens, and adults. I have always been passionate about volunteering and making a difference in someone's life, big or small. GIVE has given me the opportunity to leap out of my comfort zone and explore the depths of Laos while making a huge impact on the marginalized villages in Laos. We will be working alongside the people of these communities to inspire and learn from one another the lessons that simply cannot be taught in textbooks.
