Help fund my African Adventure to Ghana
My Travel Story
My name is Owen and I'm a year 9 student at Bourne Community College. I have been given the fantastic opportunity to travel with 21 other students to do volunteer work in Africa in February 2017.
We are going to work in a school in the Volta region in the south east of Ghana with a charity called African Adventures. I have chosen to work with the local tradesmen to assist them with building and renovating the local school. The Charity has been working in 3 areas of Africa since 2009 and the projects they support help over 15,000 children each day.
I have been working hard to fund my trip with the help of my friends and family. We have organised a successful tea party and have a second one planned for the 16th of October. I have also raised money at car boot sales, and at school we have washed the teachers cars and held cake sales.
I am now on my final push to raise the rest of money for the trip. If you are able to donate that would be fantastic. If you run a business and would like to sponsor me I would love to hear from you. I am keen to share my experience with others and would be willing to write a report.
Thank you for visiting my page and reading my story.
