My Travel Story
Hi, I’m Florencia. Life has become overwhelmingly difficult, and I’m reaching out for help to find safety and healing.
My ex-wife recently had a psychotic break, accused me of terrible things, and left me homeless. She’s been violent in the past, and I fear for my life. I’m also battling severe depression and multiple health issues, including a possible cancer diagnosis. The weight of this crisis is unbearable, and I have no support system in the U.S.
I’ve been holding everything together alone — living paycheck to paycheck, covering rent, utilities, and car expenses while working a service job that doesn’t pay if I don’t show up. Despite all this, I still have dreams that require me to stay in the States. I also can’t leave permanently because I’m locked in a divorce battle that needs to be finalized before I can even consider making long-term plans.
Going back home to Argentina for just a week or two might give me the strength to keep fighting. But I need help to make it possible. I have the miles for my flight, but I can’t afford time off work without jeopardizing my ability to cover rent and essentials.
