My Travel Story

For years, Damaris and I have shared a deep fascination with the world's untold stories—the quiet traditions, the local markets, and the recipes passed down through generations. Our love has grown through shared dreams, and the biggest one is not just to see the world, but to truly understand it, one culture at a time.

We don't want a "tourist" trip. We want a journey that takes us beyond the postcard and into the heart of local life. We plan to travel slowly, moving from country to country, not counting landmarks, but counting connections. This long-term adventure is the ultimate way for us to invest in our relationship—by expanding our perspectives and challenging ourselves together.

Our Cultural Itinerary & Commitment

We envision a route through a region rich in diverse traditions, such as Southeast Asia (e.g., Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia) or The Balkans (e.g., Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania). This multi-country journey is specifically designed for cultural depth.

We promise to live like locals:

Cooking & Cuisine: Taking local market tours and cooking classes to truly understand a nation's soul through its food.
Homestays & Language: Choosing homestays over hotels whenever possible, and learning key phrases in the local language to show respect and build genuine connections.
Art & History: Seeking out local craft workshops, non-touristy museums, and spending time in local community spaces to see the living culture.
For us, the money we raise is an investment in these experiences—the bus fares, the simple homestay fees, and the cost of the cultural classes that will allow us to respectfully immerse ourselves.

Help Us Bridge the Gap

We are committed to saving, but a trip of this length and depth requires a strong foundation. Your support will help us bridge the financial gap to turn this ambitious plan into a reality for Damaris and me.

We will share every authentic step of our journey with you—the successes, the lessons learned, and the beautiful cultural moments you helped us discover. You won't just be funding a trip; you'll be funding a bridge between cultures.

Join us in making this dream of deep, meaningful travel—and a lifetime of shared learning—come true. Thank you for making our global education possible!
