Hi! My name is Bryan Guinn, I'm a sophomore at Miami University and working on getting my Bachelor of Science in criminal justice. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to go to Japan. The interest first sparked with my interest in things such as Anime and Manga, and Japanese video games. But since then it has blossomed into an even further and deeper interest in their culture in all its aspects. Traveling costs money though. Especially when traveling halfway across the world and I wouldn’t even know where to begin. But now I’ve found an opportunity. A chance to not only fulfill my dream of going to Japan but to enhance my academics and future. I recently found out I’ve been accepted into the Kansai Gaidai University exchange program for the fall semester through my school. It was a competitive program with high academic standards, but I managed it. The cost, however, is very high, and no amount of academics can help cross this financial wall and as I look for scholarships to help ease the burden, I also wish to find help elsewhere. My costs are very high and travel, housing, insurance, tution and program fees. I don't expect to reach this high goal i'm placing but even so. This is once in a lifetime opportunity to achieve my dreams of Japanese travel while studying at a prestigious university to boot. I consider myself a proud person but any help, any at all, could go a long way to helping me achieve my dream. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to read this whether they donate or not!
