Hi, My name is Tytianah Ward. I am currently a Junior in Textile Engineering at North Carolina State University. This upcoming summer in 2023, I have the opportunity to study abroad in  London, United Kingdom. While in London, I will have the chance to obtain 6 credits that will benefit my degree and get me one step closer to graduating! My desire to learn in diverse atmospheres has motivated me to study abroad.  Adapting to unfamiliar environments is a benefit I look forward to honing through this experience. I am well aware that the workplace will present many situations that take me out of my comfort zone. My experience abroad will be a great opportunity to begin confronting such situations. I look forward to tackling the challenges that come with studying abroad in London. By studying abroad, I also expect to broaden my professional network. I will be able to form international connections that could possibly lead to job or internship opportunities. The field of Textiles Engineering requires a high amount of networking, to receive good job placement making these international connections very valuable. Also learning new and innovative aspects of the rapidly developing field in London will hopefully provide me an advantage when searching for a job.
