My Travel Story

Hi all. My name is Zhasulan and I am a video editor. I am the only one in the family and I have only my mother. My mom does her best for me, but she is not young anymore and it is hard for her. She didn't tell me, but I know she dreams of traveling. She dreams of going somewhere else. The pictures of other countries on her phone show this. Her sparkling eyes when she watches the beauty of other countries on TV (and a lot of magnets on the fridge). All her life she has lived in Kazakhstan. She has never been to other countries. My goal this year is to fly her to Europe and show her other places. She will be happy to be in Europe. I have worked long and hard to save up money for the trip. But fate had other plans. The coronavirus pandemic affected everyone on the planet. My mother and I got sick, even though we took every precaution. Because of my young body and strong immune system I took this disease easily enough. It was much harder for my mom. She got acute pneumonia at the peak of the pandemic. Hospitals were overcrowded and ambulances had no time to answer the phone. We were buying very expensive medications for treatment. After 3 weeks of agony, my mother and I beat the contagion. The recovery period is going well. That is the most important thing for me. I am happy my mom is healthy now) my mom is a strong woman. Because of the pandemic, I lost my job and hard times came. Everything we managed to save we spent on treatment. In search of an income I became a freelancer. I work for Fiverr doing video editing and logo animation. Very few orders are coming in, but I keep working. I will not give up until I finish what I started. I will definitely take my mother to Europe and show her all the most beautiful places.
