Hello everyone, my name is Jose Grijalva. I'm a Software Engineering Undergraduate Student at ASU. I'm very excited about heading over to Tokyo, Japan for a two-week study abroad program in May 10th of this year. All of my life, I've always wanted to travel to Japan but just never had the money to afford the airfare and everything else for it and this program is for my major, which makes it a perfect opportunity for me. Despite how much sleep deprivation and work it takes me to learn and improve in my field of study, with it being a STEM major, I've shown time and time again that I've never given up on it because of my passion for it so I would for sure put in a lot of hard work and dedication for this program.

This study abroad program will benefit me in many ways. It will not only just count towards my school credit for my major but the experiences and knowledge that I will gain for this trip will carry over to my future education and career. With these experience and knowledge, I've considered possibly starting to start a tech company of my own in the future after I finish my Software Engineering major and learn how to start and run a business so I can apply Japanese tech companies' methods of problem-solving to my products, and expand my company from here in the US, to Japan and Mexico, that way so I can create many job and internship opportunities for future ASU students to gain some work experience in the field and for people in Japan, Mexico and possibly more countries, all as my way of giving back to the community.

I unfortunately don't have the fundings to afford this program and I'd hate to have to place even more financial burdens on my parents, who are very hard-working people and have already helped me enough with my regular semester tuitions at ASU. It would be such a bummer for me to miss out on such a great opportunity so any amount of donations that you are able or wanting to give for this study abroad program would be greatly appreciated.

For those who took their time to read this and decided to help out with donations, thank you very much.
