My Travel Story

Through this experience I will be able to conduct my Senior Design project for a villiage in Panama with a group of 3 other engineering students from Michigan Tech. This will be a learning experience that combines sustainable community-based design principles with field engineering needs analysis, measurements, and community-inspired conceptual design in a partnering community site, capped with a full-scale design analysis back on Michigan Tech's campus.

There will be a total of 21 engineering students and three professors of Michigan Tech total traveling along with me to the cite where we will be collecting and analyzing the area. In the Fall semester design work will be done in Houghton, MI with the final project being presented in December 2015. The cost of the project is extra due to traveling and working with Peace Corps volenteers.
