A Journey of Healing, Growth, and Purpose: Support My Trip to Jeju Island!

Hello, my name is Bridget Hernandez, and I want to share a story about hope, resilience, and transformation. Life has thrown its fair share of challenges my way, and after enduring the trauma of domestic violence, I’ve realized the importance of taking time to heal, grow, and rediscover myself. This is why I’m turning to you for support—to help me embark on a journey that’s not just about visiting a new place, but about creating a new chapter in my life.

Jeju Island, South Korea, is more than just a travel destination. It’s a sanctuary for the soul, a place where nature, culture, and wellness come together to create something truly magical. I’ve chosen Jeju because it offers the peace and serenity I need to focus on my mental well-being. Its stunning landscapes, like Hallasan Mountain and Seongsan Ilchulbong, provide a tranquil escape from the painful memories of my past. The island’s rich traditions, such as the inspiring stories of the Haenyeo (female divers), and its focus on sustainable living resonate deeply with my vision for a fresh start.

This journey isn’t just about personal healing—it’s about laying the groundwork for something bigger. I have a small piece of land back home, and I’ve always dreamed of turning it into a thriving agri-business. During my time in Jeju, I plan to learn sustainable farming practices and gain insights that I can bring back to my community. By doing this, I aim to build a stable and meaningful future for myself while inspiring others to explore eco-friendly farming methods that benefit our environment.
