Habitat for Humanity Global Village Trip
My Travel Story
This September, Shannon and I will be part of Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake's Global Village team to help families in need in Antigua, Guatemala.
We are very excited for this opportunity! Beyond just exploring a new place and making memories together, we will be doing some serious physical labor. Some projects that we will be working on include digging foundations, mixing concrete, tying rebar and even installing smokeless stoves or latrines.
We have always been passionate about giving back to the community and impacting others through service. This trip is our first opportunity to travel internationally to aid in improving the lives of low-income families through the construction of adequate, affordable housing.
On this trip we expect to be challenged, grow as people, and deepen our commitment to serve others. But we can't do it alone!
Please consider supporting us with a donation in any amount towards our goal of raising $10,000. These donations will be used to fund our travel, accomodations and expenses. Most importantly the majority of all money raised will go towards the costs of the build itself. Any funds raised in excess of our goal will be donated directly to Habitat for Humanity.
We have made it to where we are today because of the amazing people in our lives such as yourselves and we hope you will kindly contribute to our cause.
