After Cancer, Help me Explore the World
My Travel Story
I was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer — the most aggressive type there is. I went through treatment, had to remove my ovaries, and entered early menopause. After that, I developed treatment-resistant depression that has taken a deep toll on my energy and ability to return to work or a normal routine.
But I’ve always held on to one dream: to travel the world.
So far, I’ve had the chance to visit Argentina, Chile, and the United States — and I’ve volunteered through Worldpackers across Brazil and Chile. These experiences gave me meaning, purpose, and connection — and now, I want to take a big step forward and finally see Europe, a place I’ve dreamed of my whole life.
Through Worldpackers, I’ll be volunteering in exchange for accommodation and meals — but I still need help covering the essentials: plane tickets, travel insurance, documents, and a few personal items. My goal is to raise $1,000 USD to make this dream possible.
This trip is not just a getaway. It’s a way to reclaim joy, rebuild my energy, and believe in life again.
