My Travel Story

Costa Rica is one of the countries I have wanted to travel since I was in sixth grade. The opportunity arose to the surface through my college, and I want to take it and run with it. I will be going through the Sol education program, leaving September 3, 2018, and will be back in Denver December 15. Experiencing a new culture, city and people from a different country helps expand one's development in the language they are pursuing.
I have been learning Spanish in a classroom since 6th grade. Going to Costa Rica allows me to grow my vocabulary and confidence with the Spanish language. I am currently studying counseling psychology and Spanish. I want to be a therapist, therefore going to Costa Rica allows me in the future to understand and help more people.This is the greatest experience I will encounter in college and sets the stage for my Spanish career and future. I am going to push myself out of my comfort zone, and go to Costa Rica this year.
