My Travel Story

I have not seen my emotional support dog since October 2019. At the time I was living and working in Medellín, Colombia as an English teacher. But then I became ill and suffered from severe anxiety and depression.Thanks to my emotional support dog, Bobo, I was able to get through the days. I had to quit my job and took up six months of studying Spanish. He was by my side every single day and night. Our favourite past time was going for walks in the park together. I returned to South Africa to come and get professional help without him, because it would only be temporarily. I also did not have enough funds at the time to bring him with me. Since then COVID happened, I lost many people to cancer and I was hospitalized twice for mental health issues. All these years without him, has been unbearable. All I want is to be with Bobo again. He is getting older and has had some health issues too. He has been staying with a Colombian foster family who takes great care of him and loves him a lot. But I miss him. I need him in my presence to make me feel safe and loved. Being put on disibility for a year makes it impossible for me to save money for this trip. So if there is anyone out there who is willing to help me raise this money, it would greatly lift my spirits, give me peace of mind and help me to reunite with my beloved dog again.
