My Travel Story

Please Help!
Family trapped overseas in Indonesia. We have been trapped by the pandemic. We need a Family Visa for my wife. We applied for the Visa in December 2018. We were nearly complete with the process when the Embassy closed for family Visa Interviews.

We qualified with all the paperwork and was just waiting for a Interview at the Embassy when the Covid-19 spread around the world. The U.S. Embassy in Jakarta has stopped Family Visa Interviews until further notice.

Call to Action
1) Please Share this campaign to help us.
2) Please contact your congressional representatives and media to help us in our cause.
3) Donate funds so we can get legal help and to help book travel to get home as soon as possible. Any funds not used for legal help will be applied to the increased cost of the airfare due to limited global flights.

Request to the United States Government.
It would be reasonable for the creation of a Special Purpose Visa where the spouse visa interview can be conducted after the world pandemic emergency is over or at minimum keep the visa process going by expedited video conference interviews.

Background
I am a United States Citizen, Veteran of the Military, A husband, and A father. I need your help. I want to return to the United States As Soon As Possible with my 8-month-old Daughter (U.S. Citizen) and Wife (Needs Visa).  We must have my wife's visa approved as an urgent matter in order to return to the United States as a family during this pandemic. Staying in Indonesia will put the health and safety of my family and in jeopardy. Leaving my wife and child behind is not an option.

We applied for the Visa in December of 2018. Our goal has been to come to the United States as soon as the Visa is approved. We have been trying to get the Visa approved in order to make commercial air travel arrangements to get to the United States.

On February 5, 2020 I emailed the NVC to expedite the Visa. I stated the following “We understand the risk of and probability of worldwide Pandemic with the Wuhan Coronavirus (2019-nCOv) and the effects on travel. Due to uncertainty with the travel and spread of the 2019 nCov virus we request my wife’s Visa be expedited. The administrative delay of processing the Visa has moved from a simple annoyance of bureaucracy to a safety issue for me and my family.

I am simply asking for the ability to go home to the United States with my family. I just want to get back and home with my family so I can start my farm back up and to take care my community.
