I'M GOING TO LONDON! I have been invited to study as a performing artist through a Performing Arts Abroad program at the world-renown Royal Academy of Dramatic Art or RADA for their "Shakespeare at Large" Summer Acting Intensive in London, United Kingdom. I am so thankful to Performing Arts Abroad for this opportunity! I believe this program is a once in a lifetime opportunity that will reinvigorate my passion for performance, and allow me to really explore London and its surrounding areas.

Performing Arts Abroad

Performing Arts Abroad (PAA) offers unique and fulfilling international performing arts programs to individuals and groups, enhancing understanding of our diverse world through the transformative arts of theater, music, dance, and film. Our organization sends students and professionals on trips for study abroad, internships, volunteering, and career workshops. PAA believes the experience of cross-cultural collaboration is invaluable for performing artists and is committed to providing international programming of the highest caliber to promote a more global perspective for our participants.

RADA "Royal Academy of Dramatic Art"
The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) is arguably the most prestigious training center for actors in the world. RADA’s alumni include such notable performers as Vivien Leigh, Peter O’Toole, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Sir Kenneth Branagh, Alan Rickman, Ralph Fiennes, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Emma Watson, Tom Hiddleston...and many more.

RADA "Shakespeare At Large" Summer Acting Intensive
The fantastic opportunity begins Friday, August 12th and goes through Sunday, August 21st, 2016. This program gives me the unique chance to train at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art with some of the best acting instructors in the world. Whether you are an experienced performer, a total beginner, or simply a “bardolator”, this course will help you explore the performance of Shakespeare, and give you a taste of the teaching that has made RADA world-famous. Classes will take place on RADA premises, and I will work on monologues and scenes; singing; dance; movement; and voice; all with dedicated members of the RADA faculty, led by the internationally-renowned RADA tutor and director, Tim Hardy.

This intensive nine-day program will include five packed days of acting training at RADA’s facilities with some of their finest faculty, group attendance at four Shakespeare performances, a visit to Shakespeare’s birthplace in Stratford-Upon-Avon, and free time to explore London and the best theatre the city has to offer.

My Theatre Story
I began my theatre journey in the middle of my sophomore year of college. I was a history major, but after auditioning for the school musical and hearing some feedback from the direcor, I quickly found a passion for studying theatre that I have not found elsewhere. Despite my lateness to choose this path, I have flourished and never looked back. I have worked professionally in stage management and directing for the past three years at theatres throughout the Twin Cities including the internationally renown Guthre Theatre, Children's Theatre Company, and Ten Thousand Things. I have been so fortunate to be blessed with so many wonderful opportunities, and now I am honored with this chance to visit the city so well known to the theatre world.

What Am I Working On Currently?
I am the Director for Eagan Theatre Company's production of Let Him Sleep 'Till It's Time For His Dinner, which performs at 8:00pm April 15th & 16th at the Royall Cliff Banquet Hall in Eagan, MN. I am also the Assistant Stage Manager for Sunset Baby at Penumbra Theatre in Saint Paul, MN, which runs April 12 - May 8th.

My Achievements
My greatest achievements in stage management include: working as the Production Assistant for All the World’s a Stage: A Tribute Gala Celebrating Joe Dowling on the Wurtle Thrust Stage at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, MN, being the Assistant Stage Manager for The Wizard of Oz, at the Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis, MN, and being a Stage Management Intern for WICKED the Musical when it toured to Minneapolis in October 2013.

My greatest achievements as a director include: working as an Assistant Director for The Snowy Day and Other Stories by Ezra Jack Keats at the Children’s Theatre Company under the Artistic Director, Peter C. Brosius and having the opportunity to be a directing intern for The Crucible at the Guthrie Theater under the direction of their previous Artistic Director, Joe Dowling.
