My Travel Story

After moving to Central Portugal in December 2020 to be with my family, things with the COVID situation took an interesting turn meaning I cannot not return to the UK in the foreseeable future, nor can I proceed with any plans I might have had when leaving the UK!

To make my time in Portugal worthwhile, I have decided to use my time to help others. In May & June 2021; I will be spending 6 weeks in the heart of Lisbon, Portugal's capital city, volunteering to help underprivaleged children to get a quality education. This is the best possible outcome I could have imagined from the situation at hand and I am very excited to have been given this opportunity. When moving here I left my career in the UK - meaning I am umemployed with very little chance of finding a job here in Portugal due to a language barrier (Volunteering should help me massively with learning the language!). Time is not an issue so I am delighted to be spending it helping the community in this beautiful country, however I would be very appreciative of any funds you could spare to help with accomodation and living costs of my experience.
