My Travel Story

Hello, my name is lois friedman, and I am currently a junior in college. If you're reading this, you're interested in helping me go to Ireland this summer! I am trying to go on a five-week study abroad trip to Ireland to help further my education and earn my degree in rural community development. If you helped, you would support me, making six credit hours while traveling to a beautiful country and gaining cultural experience. By helping me, you also play a part in having something not everyone else does when applying to graduate school. My dream is to be a children's therapist. By going on this study abroad trip, I can get more hours toward my degree, which will take off a class or two during my senior year. I am highly involved on my campus as well. I am an officer in our active minds club as a peer support group leader and an officer in our GSA and Circle K club as the events coordinator. I try to stay highly involved on campus to get scholarships to help fund this trip. The main reason I am creating this fund is that I can not work. I have a disability called IBD, which prohibits me from working. Despite my disability, I have some excellent teachers on this trip willing to help me with accommodations while in Ireland. I have always dreamed of going to Ireland, and if you are eager to help make this dream come true, I will be forever thankful to you.
