Loans are rarely given to the poorer people in the community we are serving, as they have no collateral meaning that they struggle to find ways to escape the poverty trap. Micro-finance is a proven way of not creating millionaires, but increasing the standard of living for those who need the most help.

Most of the women we are serving, do not even own bank accounts as when all the family expenses have been met, albeit with difficulty, there is nothing left to save. Banks, Microfinance Institutions even informal Shylocks need one to present a healthy financial history in form of bank statements, a document which over 90% of the group members lack. This unfortunate factor is contributing to the depths of poverty among the women in the communities we are serving and they need help to come out.
