My Travel Story

Like the title says "what wouldn't you give your kids!". I am looking to take a year out of my kids school year to just travel and see some of the things they are learning about. If I could go back and do it over again I would have home schooled all of my kids but I lacked confidence. However after raising my older 3 I feel this is something I can do.
I am hoping by the time we are done I will have raised more well round kids. Who understand giving back and volunteering. I am hoping to raise kinds who are respectful and understand the meaning of a dollar.
I feel like in this day and age we are raising children who will not be able to function properly as adults. I feel like teachers can't or don't teach anymore. I feel as tho the things that should be taught aren't being taught. Maybe I'm old fashion but I remember learning so much more in school as well as having more opportunity. I just want that for my children not this mess that they have been left with. I feel as a parent that when my child needs something, its my job as a parent to make sure they get that.
I have choosen the USA as our first trip because I want my children to understand what their great grandfather, father. and brother have fought so hard for. They need to understand why this is the home of the free and the land of the brave!
