Please help me help impoverished communities and families in Mexico, so they don't flee their home country and dangerously migrate (sometimes illegally) to the US.
If these communities and families have access to clean water, food, electricity, and health care they are more likely to remain in their home country.  They are also more likely to help others once they understand how to help themselves.  Solving these challenges will help to solve dangerous and illegal border crossings.
How will I accomplish this?
1.  Partner with and set up a local point of contact in each impoverished community so we understand what is most needed to help the community.
2.  If needed, install solar panel electrical system so the community has electricity.
3.  If needed, drill and secure water well so community has access to clean water.
4.  If needed, set up community garden and chicken coop so the community has access to safe and healthy food.
5.  If needed, set up charity shop so community has access to necessities like clothes, shoes, toiletries, personal hygiene items, etc...
6.  If needed, set up weekly transportation to nearest medical facility to ensure the community has access to much needed BASIC medical and dental care (including birth control options and education).
7.  Ensure that members of the community are invested by educating them regarding how to set up solar systems, water wells, gardens/sustainable food sources, etc... so they have the ability to become self sufficient as the Mexican Government is NOT interested or invested in the sustainability of these small communities.
Did you know........
The minimum wage is Mexico is $11.55 per DAY???
Could you make ends meet or even purchase the very basic necessities on this salary?
Could you feed your family or afford birth control on this salary?
Could you afford a vehicle and fuel on this salary?
Could you pay for a Doctor visit for your sick child on this salary?
The answer to all of these questions is a resounding NO!
If you could not care for yourself or your family what would your options be.......try to get to the closest country where these necessities might be available to you, like the US.  Most uneducated Mexican citizens are afraid that they may not be able to cross the Border legally so they put themselves and their young children at great risk by attempting to cross illegally, where most either die during this horrendous journey or are tricked into human trafficking situations by illegal Border Runners/Cartel.  They might even resort to selling their organs (YES, IT'S TRUE) in order to have enough money to pay "Coyotes" who promise to get you to the US safely when, in reality, they will simply abandon you in the hot and dangerous desert.  These souls are left for dead or die on the way back home because they have lost hope of ever reaching real and lasting help.
If we can help these families and communities BEFORE they resort to these life threatening actions, we not only help them but we also relieve the horrendous situation at the Border.
This is a project that I am very passionate about as I have seen, first hand, the elderly and children who are crying and starving and sick and desperate for help.  I have the skills and the team to make this a REALITY.  We must take immediate action to help them as their own government, for many reasons, will not.
Please help me give them what they phisically need to survive AND, most importantly, give them hope that someone truly and sincerely cares about them enough to secure basic human necessities for them.
LETS GIVE THEM FOOD, WATER, CLOTHES AND SHOES, MEDICAL CARE........AND HOPE!
