My Travel Story

by: Thomas Spears Start Date: Jul 23, 2023 - End Date: Nov 22, 2023

Requesting financial assistance for travel expenses to accept a teaching job in China to support my mother-in-law's monthly medical expenses.

In July 2022, mother-in-law suffered a heart attack and kidney failure, now requiring dialysis twice a week, and medications monthly to keep her alive.
 My mother-in-law's medical and monthly medication bills have depleted our savings, leaving us in dire need of support.  In the Philippines, they will let you die if you cannot afford medical care, unlike America and other countries.
We need money to make more money for me to teach English at a major university in China. This job will present us with a stable income and the potential to help with my mother-in-law's monthly medical costs.

Expenses to Cover:

·    Travel to China Two Plane tickets, meals, taxis for 10 days hotel in Manila, and a Chinese visa, all for my wife and me. Two plane tickets from Manila to Beijing. Two Bullet train tickets from Beijing to Tangshan China.
     Relocation: Moving our belongings from Huainan China to Tangshan China. To hire a moving company to move our things from my last job in China (from September of 2019) will be less expensive than us having to buy all new things

  How to Donate: Sorry but the laws state you must donate in the Philippine Peso currency. So to convert your currency to the Philippine peso click the following XE Currency Converter website which is;
https://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/
Type in the amount you want to give. The Minimum amount on this site is $10 US. (The website sets this, not me). Type in the amount you want to give in your currency in the left drop-down menu. Then select the Philippine peso in the right drop-down menu. Click the blue convert button below the right drop menu for the Philippines peso. For example for today July 25, 2023, $10 US converts to 545.43. Philippine Pesos, $30 US converts to 1,637. Philippine pesos, $50 US converts to 2,727.29 Philippine pesos, and $100 US converts to 5,454. I have rewards for donations of 1,637, 2,750 & 5,500 in Philippine pesos, See the right from this text box. If you have a problem with donating here you can use my direct Paypal link which is: PayPal.Me/DrSpearsPhD. Click the send button, below my photo and my company name "Rock Star English," and fill in the peso amount you want to send after you complete the XE conversion.

Sorry, again,  it is difficult for you to donate to this website, with you having to complete the conversion into the Philippine peso yourselves, but there is nothing I can do to correct this

   Note: The University will not cover any travel expenses during the first contract year. I am 65 years old and coming out of retirement to help my mother-in-law,
