Camden is a wonderful kid: He is a good runner, highly curious student, adverturous spirit and quite a reasonable musician. (He plays both the clarinet and drums.) He also struggles with Sensory Perception Disorder and has some related difficulties in school. Due to the disorder, he needs to move to learn properly, which can be quite challenging in a school environment. Regardless, he is still a student who works through his challenges to get A's for his marks in school.
His father and I are very proud of him. (I guess you could probably already see that, right?)
In September, we plan to go to New Zealand for a learning holiday and cultural exchange. We are looking forward to him learning in new ways about different cultures, particularly the Maori culture, to experience the beauty of New Zealand and be inspired by the people, environment, challenges and acheivements from the Land of the Long White Cloud.
His father will be traveling earlier than Camden and I, attending a symposium on Forensic Science. Camden and I will meet him in Aukland, then plan to travel to many places in the north and south islands, including Christchurch, Rotorua, Greymouth, etc. We will be seeing natural and man made wonders, including glaciers, caves, Hobbiton and the Tranz Alpine train. We will also be learning from a range of cultural experiences, including museum visits and Te Puia.
This range of experiences, particularly combined with a great range of physical activities, will be fantastic for Camden's learning. We have funded most of the trip, just needing some help with money toward the great activities we plan to do with him. If you can help, that would be absolutely wonderful!
