My Travel Story

We are learning to fall in love with the Earth again as a society: to become aware of the cycles of the seasons, of Mother Earth that is nourishing our bodies, and of our inner light. Everywhere, slow living has been returning, for there has been a thirst for it. Everywhere, people are seeking healing for we realise the beauty of our humanness. And everywhere, we are becoming more conscious of our time on this Earth.

Two years ago, we – the couple – became tired of society as we know it and realised the change did not rest upon the world around us, but rested within our own selves: we set out to acquire more skills and learn about multiple healing modalities (beyond what we already practiced). We have been life-long learners curious about metaphysics, philosophy, astrophysics, psychology, conciousness and healing. We dedicated years to education and learning, translated in certifications and accreditations, and yet, it still left a rift with what we truly wanted to bring as an impact to the world. We have acquired combined skills in "hypnotherapy," "channeling, "Reiki," "womb healing," "dowsing," "priestess ceremonies" and "druidic circles." We can now see it isn't enough: for these parts are disparate when they should be part of a whole, a way of living. 

We are a couple who is in love with ancient rituals and ceremonies and have chosen to take the biggest leap of faith ever. We feel the time is ripe to leave our cocoon in the UK and no longer practice these arts as mere individual skills – we wish to show the world more of it, its multi-diverse and multi-faceted truth. We are going directly to the sources that have been proponents of rituals spanning centuries. 

We have chosen to press pause on life as we know it and dive head-first into bringing to the mainstream what all humans may have forgotten: the beauty of rituals and ceremonies as a way to live consciously, to slow down, and to connect with our inner light. This journey is for us to uncover a new chapter that will enable us to connect with ancient rituals and ceremonies from countries in the East, namely Japan, China, South Korea and Indonesia (Bali). From Japan's rituals and ceremonies anchored in artisanal craftmanship, to China's Buddhism and mythological influences to cultivate spirituality, to Korea's well-preserved historical practices in sea-side towns, we want to trace it all to Bali, a bubble that embraces modern rituals and acts of self-love. 

This journey is meant to record our inner growth, the guiding light of ancient wisdom across countries, and the power of blessings, of mindful practices, and of connection with our true self as we perform acts that ground us to Mother Earth. This is a journey that is here to record rituals and ceremonies, misunderstood and clarified, and re-told so anyone may choose to practice it anywhere, when they feel a need for it, a connection to it, and a deeper calling for it.

These recordings will be made in the form of videos on socials, with the intent to spark more interest from the mass, as well as with the aim to be turned into a written account with more detailed historical-sociological information.

Mateusz and Qiu are based in London, UK, and are both global citizens. Mateusz moved from Poland to England in the years before Covid-19, keen to heal more individuals beyond his hometown in Poland with his holistic practice centred around hypnotherapy. He holds a degree in Philosophy and a Masters in Cognitive Science, and is a certified and accredited hypnotherapist. He has transformed over 200 individuals' lives, showing up at the right time and at the right place. Qiu comes from Montreal, Canada and moved to London in 2019, with a curiosity for art and history. Following a nation-wide lockdown in 2020, she halted her travels to spend time with her inner child and progress her shadow work. She has since become a certified Reiki Master, has learned womb healing, and has been exploring sacred ceremonies. She holds a diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is listed on the National UK Register. Mateusz and Qiu have been vested in druidic circles and priestesshood respectively, hosting small circles to celebrate the change of seasons and astrological forces. They wish to bring more rituals and ceremonies to the world, as a way of living.
