My Travel Story

Hi, I'm Mack, and thank you in advance for reading my story.

I recall a conversation with my dad a few years before he passed away. He asked me if I liked to travel. I told him about my bucket list and that I wanted to touch down on every continent before I left this place. He told me to travel to all the places he never had the opportunity to. I thought he was crazy for saying that because I knew we would travel together.

You see, Dad was a historian and loved everything (people, places, structures, architecture, etc.), that could tell a story. We all think the people we love will live forever. Unfortunately, we only had an opportunity to take a cruise together for his birthday before he passed away from a brain aneurysm. He was laughing with me over the phone one day and two days later he was gone. I NEVER saw that coming. I was devastated and didn't have a desire to travel for a long time. Then, Covid hit and we couldn't travel. I thought my traveling days were over. But, then I recalled our conversation.

Now, I want to fulfill his wish for me to travel to all the places he never had the opportunity to. But, before I start the overseas travel, I need to make a pit stop in Connecticut. I promised a good friend I would help him start his coach bus business. I'm so happy for him and want to help however I can to see him succeed. So, I'll be in Connecticut for a few months. Then, I can start my Dad and I's bucket list travels. I know it will be hard without him being there physically, but I know he will be with me in spirit. I plan to travel to 3 locations this year, Jamaica, Paris, France, and Germany. So, if God lays it on your heart to help me fulfill my dad and I's wish, blessings to you! And thank you!
