I am a young LGBTQ Nigerian, graduating from university, but still living under the shadow of fear. In my country, being open about who I am is dangerous—my safety, freedom, and dignity are constantly at risk. Despite these challenges, I’ve worked hard to earn my degree, and now I want to take the next step: building a life where I can live openly, safely, and proudly.
 
Brazil is my destination of hope. It’s a country known for its vibrant diversity, inclusive laws, and celebration of individuality. Relocating there will give me the freedom to be myself without fear, and the opportunity to build a career that not only sustains me but also allows me to give back to the LGBTQ community.
 
This move isn’t just about me—it’s about creating a ripple effect. By building a stable, authentic life in Brazil, I can advocate for others like me, share my story to raise awareness, and create safe spaces for LGBTQ voices from Africa to be heard.
