My Travel Story

By participating in the Pacific Discovery program, I'll not only be able to partake in conservation efforts in Hawaii, but I will gain more work experience in the fields of ecology and environmental sicence, which I hope to pursue in college. Through working on sustainable farms and restoring wilderness diversity, I will become more knowledgable in these fields, thus enriching my college education and gaining valuable work experience that will push me farther in my post-college life.
     Some examples of what you will be helping me to accomplish include: 
  • Help food-insecure and pandemic affected families 
  • Habitat preservation
  • Restore wildnerness diversity 
  • Learn about permaculture farming 
...And so much more!!!
     I have always loved to travel, to explore new places and go on exciting adventures, however with this program, I now have the opportunity to not just explore new places on a surface level, but to make a real difference in them, volunteering my time and working hard towards good causes. I will also be able to apply the knowledge I bring back from these trips to my chosen field of study in college and beyond, so that I can make a difference in my own community.
